MUSIC Bring the whole family for a squeezebox Sunday serenade exploring the world’s greatest musical instrument – bar none!! Featured are the wild and wonderful sounds of the Northwest’s finest players including Irish accordion master Johnny Connolly with fiddler Dale Russ, avante-gardist Amy Denio and Hell’s Bellows! Toby Hanson, Tom Demski and the Smilin’ Scandinavians, Bulgarian star Milen Slavov with singer Zhivka Papancheva, and harmonica virtuoso Mark Graham. The harmonica? – it’s in the accordion family! Special guest will be Zhongxi Wu, accompanied by Karen Wong, playing the sheng, a 21-pipe ancient Chinese instrument that is the forerunner of the modern accordion. Make sure to bring your dancing shoes!!
